I am a long-time contact wearer too (probably about 12 years), and years ago when I had a great health plan through my employer I didn't really even worry about the price of contacts. But now that I am a SAHM and my hubby is self employed, I've really noticed how darn expensive contacts are! I actually just ran out recently (and have been wearing my "backup" glasses around... which sometimes give me a headache) and was trying to figure out whether to call 1-800-CONTACTS or what to do that would be the most cost effective solution.
