Harris Teeter Shopping Trip – Triple Coupon event – 3/25/10

I’m excited to say that I stopped at Harris Teeter this morning.

A word to the wise, not all stores carry the same products. My store didn’t carry the pasta which I was looking forward to getting.

Make sure you read and follow the coupon policy as best you can.

When I checked out the cashier told me that you can ONLY use 2 or 3 Internet coupons but said that she has heard otherwise from customer service and the wording in the coupon policy isn’t well worded.  She accepted all of my Internet coupons.  Here is the confusing wording.

Internet Coupons: We gladly accept internet manufacturer’s coupons for product; however no “free” product internet coupons are accepted. With the purchase of two like manufacturer’s products, we accept two internet coupons, per store, per day. We do not accept internet coupons that do not appear to be originals or that won’t scan.

This might explain why others might have issues with other stores and cashiers.

i hit HT today too, b/c i got a perscription filled! I did pretty well! when my total rang up (before coupons and sales prices from my VIC card) it was more than $77. I got a little scared because that was WAY over budget! But then when I rang my VIC card and coupons, my total was $21.00. Yipee!!! that was more like it! Admittedly, $20 of the “coupons” was the VIC card discount from filling a perscription, but hey, who cares? that’s still one HECK of a discount, and we splurged on several TOTAL impulse buys too, including a diet Dr. Pepper (for me!) and a Sprite (for the kids) from the Grab-N-Go case. if we hadn’t bought those, my total would have been $18. my best deals were the Lysol products–they were practically free, since they were BOGO, and I had the .75/1 coupons, which tripled to 1.50 off.

I also hit CVS and scored some mad deals on the Pampers with 2 different $2 off coupons, making my two packs $4 each, plus some great clearance items. I’ll try to send more details of the trips tomorrow. it was a great coupon day!
