Crazy week and Giant Shopping Trip 4/21/10

This week has been a crazy week. A lot has been going on and I haven’t been as good about posting good deals. I’m hoping after tomorrow when the weekend starts I can start getting organized, clean the family room, office, and of course laundry. I’m really behind on laundry and haven’t been doing my routine.  Honestly, working full-time is tough because I’m always behind.  In the evenings after my daughter goes to bed, all I want to do is the essentials and go to bed. I’m exhausted!

This weekend I plan on cleaning up and going to the grocery store might go to Bottom Dollar to use my $10 off a $40 purchase.

Check out what my hubby got at Giant yesterday?   A bag of fruit including apples, mango and orange and guess what he paid?  $1  That’s right!

In addition, he got several bags of potatoes for $1 each.  We just had some mashed potatoes.  Yummy!  Love my frugal hubby.  He found these on a stand near the produce and they said “Not the best but still a good buy”.

Since she is new to collecting her coupon inserts she didn’t have all of the coupons available to  her.  She used the internet coupons and the  “Spring Savings” book.  She mentioned that some of the coupons beeped and the cashier pushed them through and it took about 15 minutes to check out.  She went early when the store was quite.

Great Job Ruth!

Giant Shopping Trip 5/29/09

Ok did it!  I completed a pretty good shopping trip at Giant.

OOP $56.57.  Not to bad. However, it got lower…

I did have a problem using the X/XX Bloom coupon because you have to have a cashier enter it in or the customer service and this is usually something you want to use first.  I got back $10.25 for that coupon + tax!  Yeah, I was surprised that I got tax back too.

Then the Cat machine didn’t print out my $2 for the Deer Park water deal.  I got $2.00 back for that.

Last, I didn’t get back my $.05 for each bag.  The manager was wonderful in refunding me all of these things and he said there was a way to do this at self checkout.  I got another $.25 for the bags.

After all said and done my OOP came out to $44.07!

The bottom of my receipt says this:
Total before savings: $102.90
Your Total savings: $48.23 + $12.50 (credits above) = $60.73
