Meal Planning 4/2/12

This is week 14 on creating a meal plan for the week.   This is spring break so Doodle is out of preschool.  Working on adding some play dates to the week.

Monday: Breakfast: Cereal and fruit Lunch fast food Dinner: Indian food with rice

Tuesday:Breakfast Oatmeal and yogurt Lunch PB&J and fruit   Dinner: Grilled Hamburgers with Salad

Wednesday:  Breakfast Cereal Lunch Tuna Salad  Dinner:Shrimp pasta

Thursday: Breakfast Cereal and fruit Lunch Hot dogs Dinner: Hot dogs and Salad

Friday: Breakfast Cereal Lunch Fastfood treat  Dinner:Broccoli casserole my Mom’s specialty

Saturday: Breakfast Eggs Lunch  leftovers Dinner: Chicken fingers

Sunday: Breakfast Cereal Lunch Simple lunch Dinner: Ham and Potatoes for Easter Dinner

Meal Planning 3/26/12

 

This is week 13 on creating a meal plan for the week.   My hubby helped me Monday evening finish up our meal plan for the week.

Monday: Breakfast: Greek Yogurt and fruit Lunch fast food Dinner: Indian food with rice

Tuesday:Breakfast Cereal and fruit Lunch PB&J and fruit   Dinner: Corned Beef Sandwiches cooked in Crock pot and salad

Wednesday:  Breakfast Oatmeal Lunch leftovers  Dinner:Breakfast for dinner including Homemade Frozen Waffles

Thursday: Breakfast Cereal and fruit Lunch PB&J and greek yogurt Dinner: Soup with rice

Friday: Breakfast Cereal Lunch Fastfood treat  Dinner:Broccoli casserole my Mom’s specialty

Saturday: Breakfast Eggs Lunch  leftovers Dinner: Takeout treat

Sunday: Breakfast Cereal Lunch Leftovers(Doodle’s swim class)  Dinner: Pasta or Pizza with Salad

Meal Planning 3/19/2012

 

This is week 12 on creating a meal plan for the week.   I feel like I’m getting in a rut on meal planning and funny thing is Gina from MoneyWiseMoms just wrote a post about being in a meal planning rut.  It is so nice to read that I’m not the only one!

Monday: Breakfast: Greek Yogurt and fruit Lunch leftovers Mexican casserole Dinner:Grilled tomatoes and grilled Pork roast. Yum!

Tuesday:Breakfast Cereal and fruit Lunch PB&J and fruit   Dinner: Broccoli casserole with Salad

Wednesday:  Breakfast Oatmeal Lunch  Dinner: Sardine salad (like tuna salad just with Sardines.  If you think I’m crazy check out how good Sardines are for you!)

Sardines: Dr. Bowden calls them “health food in a can.” They are high in omega-3’s, contain virtually no mercury and are loaded with calcium. They also contain iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper and manganese as well as a full complement of B vitamins.
How to eat: Choose sardines packed in olive or sardine oil. Eat plain, mixed with salad, on toast, or mashed with dijon mustard and onions as a spread.

Thursday: Breakfast Cereal and fruit Lunch PB&J and greek yogurt Dinner: Mac & cheese and Peas

Friday: Breakfast Cereal Lunch Fastfood treat  Dinner:Indian food (Trader joes) served over Basmati Rice

Saturday: Breakfast Eggs Lunch  leftovers Dinner: Takeout treat

Sunday: Breakfast Cereal Lunch Leftovers(Doodle’s swim class)  Dinner: Pasta or Pizza with Salad

Meal Planning 3/12/12

 

This is week 11 on creating a meal plan for the week.   Last week was a busy week!  We had a simple family birthday this last past weekend.  This coming week is a bit calmer.  Catching up on some things but the best part is enjoying the lovely warm weather outside.  This week is a perfect week to plant the garden.

Monday: Breakfast:  Oatmeal and Yogurt Lunch Chicken Club Sandwich leftovers Yum!  Dinner:Grilled cheese sandwiches with tomatoes and cold cuts

Tuesday:Breakfast Cereal and fruit Lunch PB&J and Yogurt   Dinner: Quiche

Wednesday:  Breakfast Oatmeal Lunch Soup Dinner: Pasta

Thursday: Breakfast Cereal and fruit Lunch  Dinner: Mac & cheese and Peas

Friday: Breakfast Cereal Lunch Fastfood treat  Dinner: Crockpot Corned Beef to make Sandwiches

Saturday: Breakfast Eggs Lunch leftovers and get together with friends  Dinner: leftovers Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Sunday: Breakfast Cereal Lunch Fastfood treat (Doodle’s swim class)  Dinner: Spinach Pie

Meal Planning 3/5/12

 

This is week 10 on creating a meal plan for the week.   This was a busy weekend!  Doodle and I went to Costco together and had a great time getting food for the month.  Then my hubby and I went to Big Lots (20% the whole purchase) and Target (for some great deals).   This week is an exacting week!  My boys are turning 1 this week!   We are having a fun family Birthday party this weekend!

Monday: Breakfast:  Oatmeal and Poptart and Yogurt Lunch Pasta leftovers Dinner:Chicken Club Sandwich (might make it grilled instead) Didn’t make this last week so we are going to do tonight.  Can’t wait!

Tuesday:Breakfast Cereal and fruit Lunch PB&J and Yogurt   Dinner: Left overs and Salad

Wednesday:  Breakfast Oatmeal Lunch Soup Dinner:  Pizza (might be takeout)   We might make it a celebration.  We are closing on our mortgage refinance.

Thursday: Breakfast Cereal and fruit Lunch Leftovers Dinner: Mac & cheese and Peas

Friday: Breakfast Cereal Lunch Fastfood treat  Dinner: Chinese Noodle dish with veggies   and My daughter and I plan on making the birthday cake!

Saturday: Breakfast Eggs Lunch Birthday Party Potluck  Dinner: leftovers

Sunday: Breakfast Cereal Lunch  leftovers  Dinner: Spinach Pie

Meal Planning – 2/27/12

This is week 9 on creating a meal plan for the week.   Yesterday, was a busy day!  That is why I’m late in posting this.  The weather in Northern Virginia was beautiful so we had to get outside and go to the park.  Thanks to Grandma for the help!  The boys had a great time crawling and Doodle had a great time playing on the slides and swings.

This is week 7 on creating a meal plan for the week.  This is going to be an easy week.  I made some extra meals on the weekend to enjoy during the week.

Monday: Breakfast:  Cereal Lunch Homemade Chicken Nuggets  Dinner: Chicken & Spicy Tahi Sauce (Made it last night to have tonight!)

Meal Planning 2/6/12

 

 

This is week 6 on creating a meal plan for the week.  I’m trying hard to think of meals with more veggies and it can be tough when feeding a 3 year old and two ten month olds.   I love trying new foods for us and the kids.  It’s fun to watch them experiment with foods.

Monday: Breakfast:  Homemade Frozen Waffles (I made a huge batch on Sunday. Thanks to my husband for watching the kids since it took over an hour an half to complete.) Lunch Leftovers  Dinner: Ham Roll ups (Yummy!  Thanks to Grandma!)

Tuesday:Breakfast Cereal Lunch PB&J  Dinner: Ham Roll ups (We have so much that it can be dinner for another night!)

Wednesday:  Breakfast Homemade Frozen Waffles  Lunch Pasta Os and Black Beans  Dinner: Spinach Pie

Thursday: Breakfast Oatmeal and cereal Lunch PB&J Dinner: Chicken & Spicy Tahi Sauce (Didn’t make it last week so trying it this week.)

Meal Planning 1/30/2012

 

This is week 5 on creating a meal plan for the week.  My husband and I have been talking about it and like this process.  The best part is we don’t have to think about dinner during the week and both of us can pitch in and fix the dinner scheduled.  If we have extra leftovers we might move a dinner down but in any case we have a plan!

Friday: Breakfast Homemade Frozen Waffles Lunch Fastfood? or Soup/grilled cheese Dinner: Chicken & Spicy Tahi Sauce

Saturday: Breakfast Eggs Lunch Takeout  Dinner: Spinach Pie

Sunday: Lunch  Free for all Dinner: Twice Baked Potatoes/w Bacon for Game Night!
