Rite Aid Shopping Trip 11/13/10 – All for $11.25 and got back $8.99!

Wow!  It’s been a long time since I posted a shopping trip and I thought this one was worth it to post.

Check out all I got for $11.25 and I got back $8.99 to use on my next purchases.  I’m really amazed at the deals that Rite Aid has with their new +UP reward program.

I did this in a couple transactions because I had a raincheck for the Nivea lotion which would have been a $5 +UP but what the cashier did was put it towards my next purchase.  What a great idea.

I highly recommend getting to know the cashiers and managers at your stores because they can help you with rain-checks, checking the back for the product or even some other creative ways to help you get some good deals.

This is what I did:

Transaction 1

I bought the Nivea lotion for $5.99 and got back $5 that they took off my next order. I spent $6.28.

Transaction 2

I then bought 4 Kleenex tissues 200 count for $2.49 B1G1  so I bought 4.  I had a coupon for Buy 3 get 1 FREE max $2.25 and a $1.00 off Kleenex Rite Aid Video coupon.  That made it $.43 a box.

I also bought Speed stick cleanshield for $1.99 and used a $1.00 off Any Cleanshield Rite Aid Video coupon.  That made it $.99.

Then  I bought Garnier Fructis Shampoo, Anti-dandruff, Leave In Conditioner and Hair Color.  After spending $15 get $5 in +UP rewards.

The Shampoo was $3.00 and I used a $1.00 Manufacture coupon and a $1.00 Fructis Color Shield Rite Aid Video Coupon. That made it $1.00

The Anti-dandruff Shampoo was $3.99  and I used a $1.00 Manufacturer coupon and a $2.00 Fructis Anti-Dandruff Rite Aid Video Coupon. That made it $.99

I bought the Leave in Conditioner for $3.00 and used a $1.00 Manufacturer coupon. That made it $2.00

Last, I bought the hair color for $5.99 and used a $3.00 Manufacturer coupon.  (I found out I could have used a Rite Aid Video coupon for $2 off.) That made it $2.99.

I also bought a $.99 card.

I used a $4/$20 coupon and a $1 off any non-prescription coupon from the Rite Aid Rewards Videos.

I got $5 off from the Nivea lotion.

I used a $1 +UP reward that I gotten a week or so go.

I spent $1.49!

I got back $5 from the Garnier Fructis Shampoo deal.

Transaction 3

I then purchased the 2 scrubbing Bubbles 2/$6 and the cashier suggested I get the toothpaste for $2.99 too. So I did.

I used a $1.00 manufacture coupon for the scrubbing bubbles (couldn’t find another coupon at home), and the Crest toothpaste I used a $1.00 manufacture coupon. I also had a different $1.00 off a non-prescription coupon from Rite Aid Video Rewards.

I also had two $2 +UP rewards to use up since they were going to expire.

I spent $2.43 and got back $2.99 +UP reward for the Crest toothpaste and $1.00 +UP for the Scrubbing Bubbles.

Transaction 4

The cashier was fantastic and mentioned to me that I could get the toothpaste and again and even roll the $2.99 that I just got and get it again!

I did just that I didn’t have a coupon but that was ok, because I didn’t need the overage.

I got another toothpaste for $.15 and got back $2.99 +UP reward.

That made my total to be $11.25 and I got back $8.99 to use on my next purchase.

Today, I asked my hubby if I could run into RiteAid since it dawned on me that the wipes are on sale $2/$5 and I have these high value coupons just sitting there.   I spent $6.38 for 9 packages of wipes that is $.71 a piece.  Not bad at all!

Rite Aid Deals including Cheap Ziploc Bags plus FREE Olay Quench

Rite Aid this week has a lot of good deals.  If you have a $5/$20 from AdPerks (located Rite Aid’s website) or a $5/$25 from Redplum.com then this is a pretty good week to get some free or almost free items. The Redplum.com coupon doesn’t print for me.  Don’t forget the Zyrtec deal I mentioned before is still available.

Buy 4 Ziploc Sliders $1.99 each.
use (2) BOGO Coupons in 04/11 SS
Pay $3.98
Submit $5.00 SC Johnson Rebate here
Free + overage

Currently Olay is offering a rebate for FREE Quench.  Combine this with the $5/$20 coupon and some of the other deals this week.

I ran in Rite Aid this morning.   I didn’t have the Quench coupon from 3/7/10 PG with me which would have helped! The price of the normal size Quench is $7.49 at my store and I could have gotten the smaller cream version for $5.99 but wasn’t sure about the rebate qualifications. Must remember to check next time. I’ve never done an Olay rebate before.

1 Olay Quench $7.49
4 Ziploc Easy Slide Storage bags $1.99
1 Complete contact solution $7.99
$23.44
-$5/$20 Rite Aid Adperks
2 B1G1 coupons for Ziploc bags SS 4/11 -$1.99 and -$1.99
$15.38 used GC

Will get back:
$7.99 for Complete contact solution
Fill out rebate for $7.49

Cost $.34 after $.44 stamp for Rebate!

My mind was racing since I had to get to the office and since everything worked out I didn’t ask the cashier for an extra receipt. Has anyone done that before at Rite Aid? I wish I could submit for the Ziploc deal too. That would be an additional $5.00. Oh well!

Zyrtec deals at Rite Aid

Before I crash into bed.  It’s been a long day.  It’s been a long week for that matter.  There are so many posts that I want to write about but so little time.   I can’t wait to chat about gardening and what we did last weekend.  Plus, today I got my library book about “Square Foot Gardening“!

The other day my co-worker brought in for me the Rite Aid ad.  I don’t usually get it in my Washington Post coupon section so I always check some of the other blogger sites that I like to visit to see about some of the good deals.  The ad this week had some great deals including these “triple coupons”, which I had never seen before.   My store was out of them the first day they said.

Then after looking closely Rite Aid currently has 2 promotions on allergy medication.   Both of these promotions last for several weeks but this week looks to have some of the best scenarios to get some cheap or maybe FREE Zyrtec after coupons, rebates and sales.   I know this is a little late since tomorrow is Saturday but for those that have your coupons well organized try and get some of these deals while you can.  Remember you can ask for rainchecks if they are out of something.

Check out ThisBeautifulFrugalLife and Bounty and Savings for all of the scoop.

My suggestion:

Transaction #1

2 Zyrtec gel 25 ct $18.99 each

2 ($4 printable coupons)

$5/$20 adperks coupon

I also got the NeilMed Nasal Cleaner for $6.99 after using a $3 Adperks coupons and it qualifies towards the #552 rebate.

Rite Aid Shopping Trip 3/27/10

Ok, I know this is way over the top.  I went over board but I love mascara.  I really do and to get it for FREE is so exciting.  I’ve bought mascara at CVS recently even though it was $2.  Now, I won’t ever buy any again. I went into a new Rite Aid that I hadn’t been in and the deal worked so good that later after I got home I collected the rest of my B1G1 coupons and I hit my local Rite Aid.

After my second trip, I helped someone else get this deal at the store.

When I was trying to decide how many I wanted a lady walked by me and I immediately asked her if I was in her way, and she was so kind. ” Oh no you’re fine! Wow, makeup is so expensive now a days”, she said as she looked at the prices on the display.

I nodded and mentioned in passing, coupons really do help.  She nodded in agreement, it sure does.

I went back to my cart and picked out the mascaras that I wanted there were so many too choose from it was so exciting! I then found only one Desitin.  I should have gotten a rain check but the Rite Aid coupon would then expire so I didn’t ask, I was nervous about this big purchase of mascara.  Then I picked up the Cadbury eggs as a treat for Easter. The purchase came out to $.12!  I was thrilled.

I immediately turned around and looked for the lady that mentioned the cost of make-up and I told her here are a couple of the B1G1 coupons and get some of the mascara for FREE because the mascara is B1G1 plus a $3 off $15 coupon.

She said, “Wow you’re so sweet, what an angel, I’ll go right now. My sister does this but I always forget my coupons.”

I told her I carry them with me, and pointed to my Couponizer.

I left the store happy with my purchase and glad I passed the savings on.

Then I had some friends over and gave my girlfriend one of mascaras.

Check out this purchase and note I also have soda in the picture, i.e. from my Safeway deal on Friday.  Buy 2 Pepsi 12 oz cans get 3 FREE!  They cost $4.99 each. That makes it $.16 a can!

Transaction 1 – First Trip

8 – Cover Girl Mascara B1G1 (Used 4 B1G1 Coupons 2/7 PG insert)

Total $4.26  Will get a $1 Rite Aid Rebate

The Cost of Diapers 2010 – March Update

Wow!  I haven’t bought many diapers this month.    I’m definitely keeping my eye out for more deals.

After adding in my diaper purchases for February and March here is what I’ve spent so far on diapers this year.  I will be getting additional rebates for the Rite Aid Pampers and will subtract that when I get it.

I got my rebate check from Caregivers Market Place– $12.50!   Not bad for saving my receipts for Huggies diapers and a few other products then at the end of the year I filled out the rebate form.   I will add that $12.50 back into the cost of diapers for this year, since I didn’t include that in my calculations last year.
