Shoppers Food Shopping Trip 11/15/09

My plan was to stop at Shoppers to pick up some double deal newspapers.  Unfortunately, they didn't have any.  I then picked up an extra Washington Post for $1.50.  I was hoping they would be on discount but apparently they don't discount them anymore. Since I was there and I had my $15 worth of catalina coupons from my previous trip with me and I thought I would get some basics for Thanksgiving coming up.  We seem to have plenty of food for the next week or so.  See my post about my husband's Aldi trip HERE. Shoppers Food Shopping Trip 11/7/2009

Wow!  I did it.  I went to Shoppers this evening.  I can't believe it is 8:33 PM as I start writing this.  I treated the family to Ci-Ci's pizza for dinner.  What a treat!  I know it is high calories but it sure is good.  Afterward, the three of us went to Shoppers.  My hubby is a trooper so is my little girl. I'm definitely not a pro like MoneyWiseMoms, Redemption Unlimited Girls and FrugalFriends!  They know exactly what they are doing. Now a couple things I learned!  Going with my family was good because it was a family affair but it did take longer then I expected.   As I always say, make sure you have a game plan before going.   I was so excited that I could get to Shoppers…

Wow! Here is the scoop on the Triple Event at Shoppers Food! Thanks to FrugalFriends for discovering this event!  Laura did an amazing job and got 99% savings!  I haven't heard of such a thing.  Looks like she got some overage on her purchases.  This will vary by store and cashier I believe. On Sunday, I made it to Shoppers with my daughter, we got out of the house before 10AM!  Woohoo!  Shoppers wasn't that crowded either so the trip went very well.   I did the Kraft deal!   I got the $5 off next shopping trip coupon expires 8/30/09 and the rebate for $20 back after buying $25 products. Shopping Trip – Shoppers – 5/31/09

I went to Shoppers on 5/31/09 and got some great deals! A couple things to mention beware you CAN'T use IP coupons over a $1.00 including $1.50 because Shoppers won't accept them.  It is against their policy to accept a coupon above $1.00. The cashier wouldn't accept them and the manager agreed.  This was in Mananas, VA. I bought 4 PopTarts for $2.50 each and 4 Frosted Shredded Wheat for $2.50 each. I also bought a Kelloggs Raisin Bran for $2.50 Total $22.50. I used 2 -2/$1.00 PopTarts expired today 5/31. $5/20 (Kelloggs coupon from the Shoppers ad) Used the $1.00 coupon from the Washington Post bag (back in March?). Total: $11.50 $1.28 a box  not too bad I also bought a couple other things too.   Great shopping trip saved…

I went to Shoppers this evening and got some great deals.   Here are some tips: Don't use the self-checkout Because it won't accept coupons that equal overage. The computer won't accept coupons after a couple and the cashier has to enter them. The cashier might not double or triple them accurately, because he/she has to do it manually. Go to a regular checkout line. Do a small transaction. It is a lot easier to keep track of coupons in smaller transactions. And, you don't have to take as long in line.
