Walmart: Fabric Clearance

walmart fabric

Around the Washington D.C. metro area several Walmart stores are being upgraded to SuperCenters. I haven’t been to Walmart in a couple weeks and I forgot how crazy the store is with the construction going on.

This weekend we stopped in at the Walmart in Woodbridge, VA and discovered that they put ALL of the fabric on Clearance by the bolt. So whatever the bolt amount per yards X $3-$4 equals the cost. There were some bolts that had 10+ yards so they cost about $30 but most were less than that. If you are need of some fabric or are like me and love fabric, you might want to check out this Walmart or other Walmarts that are going under SuperCenter remodeling. I found these ranging from $4.97 – $12 a bolt.

Great price on Avent bottles and sippy cups at Walmart after coupon

For the last couple of weeks there have been several Avent coupons available.  Click HERE to print them.

$3 off 1 Multi-pack AVENT BPA-Free Baby Bottles

$2.50 off AVENT BPA-Free Toddler Cup Twin Pack

$1.50 off AVENT BPA-Free Toddler Cup

I found that at Walmart they have the 3 pack of 9 oz bottles for now $14.97.

That makes it $11.97 for 3 bottles or $3.99 each after coupon!  That is the cheapest I’ve ever found them.

Shopping Trips in May 2010

Catching up on all of my shopping trips in the last couple of weeks.

My shopping trip at CVS on 5/9/10.  I did very well.   I used about $25 worth of ECBs.  I used a gift card and spent $16.35 and got back $20.99 in ECBs for $91.67 retail value merchandise.  I saved 82% from retail amount + have over $20 ECBs to use on my next trip.

I bought the following:

  • 4 Carefree pads $1.00 each – Used 4 – $1/1 coupons 4/25 SS = FREE
  • 2 Stayfree pads $Stayfree pads $3.69 each – Used 2 – $1/1 coupons 4/25 SS and $4 CVS coupon = $1.38 got back $4 ECBs because I purchased 4 Carefree/Stayfree products.  This was a surprise.
  • Claritin D 24 hour 10 count $12.99 – Used $2/1 coupon 5/2 SS = $10.99  I was hoping this was part of the Claritin deal but it wasn’t.
  • Hydro 5 razor $8.99 – Used $5/1 coupon 5/9 SS = $3.99 got back $4.00 ECBs = FREE+ Profit $.01
  • Zyrtec 10mg 30 count $18.99 – Used $4/1 coupon 5/2 SS and $5 CVS coupon = $9.99   and get back $7 in ECBs.
  • Kotex U $4.99 each – Used $1/1 coupon = $3.99 and get back $4.99 = FREE + $1 Profit
  • Clear Care $14.99 – Used $3/1 coupon 5/9 SS and $5 CVS coupon = $6.99 and get $3 in ECBs.
  • Kleenex Cottonelle 12 pk $4.99 – Used $1/1 coupon = $3.99
  • March 2010 CVS Reinventing magazine = $.99

I also used a $5/$30 coupon.

Here is my CVS shopping trip on 5/14/10.  I paid $1.33 ($.97+$.36 tax) for all of the above! I used a $6.97 ECB and I used a gift card and spent $1.33  and got back $7 in ECBs for $36.12 retail value merchandise.  I saved 96% from retail amount + have over $7 ECBs to use on my next trip.

I used a $5/$30 coupon.

I ran into RiteAid after my CVS trip and got the following items.  I don’t have everything pictured.  Still pretty good deals.  I used the $20 Rite Aid coupon from the Zyrtec deals I did a month ago.  I spent OOP $9.49.

  • 1 Infusim $3.99 – Used $3/1 coupon 5/9 SS = $.99
  • 1 Claritin D 24 HR 15 ct $16.99 – Used $2/1 coupon 5/2 SS and Rite Aid Adperks $2/1 = $12.99
  • 2 Benadryl A/C Gelcaps $5.49  (Didn’t realize it wasn’t on sale was looking for $4.99) – Used $5/2 coupon 4/11 RP = $5.98 for both
  • 1 Zegerid $9.99 – Used Rite Aid Adperks $2/1 and $4/1 coupon 4/18 SS = $3.99 get back $1 Rite Aid Rebate
  • 1 Excedrin $1.99 – Used $1/1 coupon 4/25 = $.99
  • 1 Mega Pack Diapers Clearance = $6.99
  • Rite Aid Pants on Clearance = $4.99

Used $5/$25 coupon

Yesterday, I went to RiteAid and did the diaper deal that I mentioned.    I didn’t have any of the wipes coupons so I instead just bought diapers.   I didn’t take a picture because I put them away before I got my act together and took my pictures.

Today, I asked my hubby if I could run into RiteAid since it dawned on me that the wipes are on sale $2/$5 and I have these high value coupons just sitting there.   I spent $6.38 for 9 packages of wipes that is $.71 a piece.  Not bad at all!

Used a $5/20 Adperks coupon.

I wanted to share some of the deals I grabbed at Walmart today.

  • Bic pens for FREE,
  • 2 Nivea body washes for FREE $3.97 and used the $4/1 coupon,
  • M&Ms bags for $1.67 a piece after using a B2G1 coupon from 5/2 RP, and
  • 2 Cetaphil products after using my $2 off any product IP coupons.   The Cetaphil products even came with 2 more $2 coupons exp in 2011.  The moisturizer SPF15 $8.97 – $2 = $6.97 and the SPF 50 $12.97 – $2 = $10.97.
  • 1 Sidewalk caulk for $1 – Finding creative cheap ways to play outside.

Walmart Deals – Babyganics, Discount Baby clothes and White Towels

On Mother’s Day I went to CVS and Walmart with the family.  We got errands done and after nap-time we had a great time at the park.

I hadn’t heard of Babyganics before and I noticed it on this shelf at my Walmart for $5 and I confirmed that the Stain Stain Go Away is $5 and the All Purpose Cleaner is $3.50 PLUS they come with a Buy One Get One For FREE coupon on the bottle expires 12/31/10.    So in two transactions I did 2 Stain Stain Go Away for $5 (that is $2.50 each) and 2 All Purpose clean for $3.50 (that is $1.25 each).  Not a bad price for organic cleaners!  I can’t wait to try them out.

It seems there are a lot of red stickers all over my Walmart so check it out.  I found these kids clothes including t-shirts, shorts and leggings for $2 or less.

I’m a huge fan of washcloths because you can use them for just about anything.  Walmart’s price has “roll back” the price.  It used to be $5 and now it’s $4 for 18.  I use them to clean my daughter’s hand and face after she eats, use them to clean up the bathroom, use them to wash/dust the car, and so much more.

The Cost of Diapers 2010 – March Update

Wow!  I haven’t bought many diapers this month.    I’m definitely keeping my eye out for more deals.

After adding in my diaper purchases for February and March here is what I’ve spent so far on diapers this year.  I will be getting additional rebates for the Rite Aid Pampers and will subtract that when I get it.

I got my rebate check from Caregivers Market Place– $12.50!   Not bad for saving my receipts for Huggies diapers and a few other products then at the end of the year I filled out the rebate form.   I will add that $12.50 back into the cost of diapers for this year, since I didn’t include that in my calculations last year.

The Cost of Diapers 2010 – January Update

One of the reasons I started to get into couponing was because of the cost of diapers and wipes.  I would go to Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target, Babies R Us and compare the prices and figure which store would give me the best deal and then I discovered the ‘coupon‘.  Coupons as you may or may not already know hold the key to finding some great deals.  In the last year thanks to the CVS and Rite Aid I’ve lowered my cost to diapers to about $300 a year.

This is an estimate so this year I plan on costing out how much I spend on diapers and soon training pants. My little girl isn’t a little girl anymore.  She wears size 6 and is a “big” girl!  Size 6 diapers cost a lot more than the 1 and 2 sizes and are hard to find on sale.  In some cases, I get excited about some of the deals only to find out that they don’t carry size 5 or 6.  Today, we bought her “potty” and will slowly introduce her to it.  She is 18 months old going on 19 months and thinks the “potty” is really neat.  I hope that continues!

If you find a good diaper deal or training pant deal PLEASE let me know.  Thanks!

How much have I spent on diapers in 2010?

Walmart Shopping Trip 9/26/09

wmlogo

Today, my family and I went on a day trip and stopped at a Super Walmart.  We don’t have any near us.  Whenever, the opportunity arises I try to make a stop.   Thanks to so many blogs that have some great Walmart matchups.   My prices were different then the ones listed so keep that in mind.  Each Walmart does have different pricing.  Thanks to MoneySavingMom.com and

My husband and I love to check out the clearance aisles.  I might have mentioned that before.  Today was no different!  We found a lot of good deals today at the Super Walmart they had over 5 aisles of clearances items.
