I have to admit this was an amazing month on stockpiling diapers!  I went to CVS and got a lot of diapers on cheap.  Back in the beginning of June there was a discount on Huggies Mega packs of diapers.  Check that post out HERE.

First let me say Happy Father’s Day!   My hubby had a great day staying at home getting things done that HE wanted to.  I got to spend the day with my daughter and my parents.  It was a very busy and hot day in NOVA.

This is the amazing deal!   Old Spice is currently $4 right now and you will get $4 ECB limit 1.  However, when I did this by buying 2  and using the B1G1 coupon in the P&G 6/5/10 I got back $8 ECBs!   Woohoo!   Sorry, I don’t have both in the picture.  That makes it a $4 profit!

I didn’t have any ECBs left since I bought so many diapers and baby products that were 75% off so I actually spent some money.  I spent $16.86 and I got back $17 in ECBs!  That made my trip a profit of $.14! Not bad.

The reason I bought new born diapers is actually for my daughter to play with them.  My daughter recently turned 2 and is in love with her new baby doll that Grammy bought her so she wants to put her big size 6 diapers on the baby doll and explains to my husband and I what the baby doll does in the diaper.   I’m thinking this might help her understand that she doesn’t need diapers anymore.  We will see.  She did go potty once this weekend!

I had 2 coupons that expired this week a $2 ECB and a $3 CVS coupon on any purchase.   I was so bummed out.  I decided to go in and ask nicely if they would allow me to use the coupons even though they expired.  I was nearby and thought I could try.  The cashier was sooooooo nice!  She said, “No problem because they expired this week.” I have to admit the ECB was with my “Nana’s card” and the coupon was with my card.

Lesson 1:   If an ECB expires this week then ask the cashier (before you shop) if you can use it.  You never know they might let you.

Lesson 2:  Try not to let your ECBs expire.  Write them down on your calendar or in an email calendar so it can send you reminders.

I bought with Nana’s card the following:

1 pack of Huggies Swim diapers which rang up for $6.99!   I didn’t realize that they were on sale.   I then used the $1.50 IP coupon and then $2 CVS coupon and last but not least the $2 expired ECB.  I paid $1.49!   Wow!

I bought with my card the following:

I had a coupon for $3 off a $3 purchase that expired and I picked up some CVS baby wipes  (easy when you are next to them in the store and the toddler is running around) that were discounted to $3.96.  Perfect spend $.96 right?!  However, it rang up for $2.67!   So, the wonderful cashier said that she could push it to $2.67!  Perfect!  I paid!  $0.00  Gosh, I love that CVS!

My daughter at that point in time found the CVS candy and bubble gum containers and I was telling her to put them back.  *sigh*   I think I grew a couple more gray hairs.   Tell me what do you do with your toddler when you go to CVS?  Do you take him or her?  Or do you leave them with a babysitter/Daddy? I told my husband this is why Moms run errands when Daddy can watch them.  He doesn’t believe me.

Lesson 3:  Find a babysitter!

I don’t always go through them. Catching up on all of my shopping trips in the last couple of weeks.

My shopping trip at CVS on 5/9/10.  I did very well.   I used about $25 worth of ECBs.  I used a gift card and spent $16.35 and got back $20.99 in ECBs for $91.67 retail value merchandise.  I saved 82% from retail amount + have over $20 ECBs to use on my next trip.

I bought the following:

• 2 Stayfree pads $Stayfree pads $3.69 each – Used 2 – $1/1 coupons 4/25 SS and $4 CVS coupon = $1.38 got back $4 ECBs because I purchased 4 Carefree/Stayfree products.  This was a surprise.

Yesterday, I went to RiteAid and did the diaper deal that I mentioned.    I didn’t have any of the wipes coupons so I instead just bought diapers.   I didn’t take a picture because I put them away before I got my act together and took my pictures.

Today, I asked my hubby if I could run into RiteAid since it dawned on me that the wipes are on sale $2/$5 and I have these high value coupons just sitting there.   I spent $6.38 for 9 packages of wipes that is $.71 a piece.  Not bad at all!

• 3 Huggies Wipes 2/$5 or $2.50 each - Used 3 – Huggies IP coupon $2/1 = $.50 each
• 6 Huggies Wipes 2/$5 or 42.50 each – Used 3 – Huggies IP coupons $2/2 = $1.50 each

I wanted to share some of the deals I grabbed at Walmart today.

• Bic pens for FREE,
• 2 Nivea body washes for FREE $3.97 and used the $4/1 coupon,
• M&Ms bags for $1.67 a piece after using a B2G1 coupon from 5/2 RP, and
• 2 Cetaphil products after using my $2 off any product IP coupons.   The Cetaphil products even came with 2 more $2 coupons exp in 2011.  The moisturizer SPF15 $8.97 – $2 = $6.97 and the SPF 50 $12.97 – $2 = $10.97.
• 1 Sidewalk caulk for $1 – Finding creative cheap ways to play outside.

I can’t believe it is Wednesday already the weekend went by so fast.  I’d been trying to get these pictures downloaded so I could show off my shopping trips and now I can.

Back when they had the Shopper’s Promotion I was trying to decide when I should use the 2 $5 catalinas.  This weekend was when they were to expire so on Saturday I went in and got all of this after using the catalinas it came to under $3!  Not bad.  We had a funny picnic on Sunday in the garage eating salad.  Will be making salads tomorrow night.

I’m excited to say that I got to do the Nivea deal more than once.  This is my favorite body wash.  I’m so glad I got introduced to it a while back when CVS had a buy 1 get 100% ECBs back to make it free.  My skin has been less dry and I haven’t had to use that many lotions.   Now I have a supply that will last me for a long time.   If I ever get any more body washes it is for gifts or donations.   Plus, the Nivea Lip Moisture is a new favorite of mine too.  I left one of them in the car, which is why it isn’t in the picture.  Everything in the above picture cost me under $3.
