I'm super excited to share that tomorrow night, December 29, 2010, TLC is going to air "Extreme Couponing".  I can't wait to watch it.   It is going to focus on "Mr. Coupon" - Nathan Engels the owner of WeUsecoupons.com, one of my favorite sites which I'm also an affiliate. I'm not an extreme couponer by any stretch of the imagination but I sure admire those that are.  It is amazing how much you can really can save using coupons and if you put your mind into it you can save so much that you can put it towards your other dreams or goals.  Think about that when you watch it. Giant Food Sale Avent Bottles only $4.99 each! 12/17/10-12/23/10

In the Giant ad last week and again this week Avent bottles are $2 off retail price. I was curious as to what that meant and happened to look at them in the store. I never knew Giant was selling them, and I assumed they would be priced high. It turns out that a single bottle is normally priced at $6.99 and so the sale of $2 off with your bonus card makes a single bottle $4.99. They also have 2 packs available too and they are normally priced $12.99 so that makes it $10.99 for 2 bottles or $5.50 a bottle. Even that is still a good deal. Can you tell that I'm going to have twins?   Well run don't walk to your nearest Babies R Us because today ONLY  (as far as I can tell) are selling these speciality marked Babies R Us Brand diaper boxes for $10!   That is between $.10 to $.16 a diaper which is right in my price range.   What a great deal.  The sale is a Black Friday deal 6AM - 1PM but my store said that it is all day and the manager said it is unlimited.  Call your store or just stop in and check it out.  The wipes are also on sale for 432 wipes for $5.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm so thankful for my wonderful family and especially the support they have provided me these last couple of months.   I have some great news to share!  I'm pregnant with identical twin boys.   The pregnancy is going well but it sure caught me by surprise.  I have had a lot of all day sickness and extra exhaustion.  That is the reason I've had to put off  blog posts these last couple of months.    My daughter is very excited and is growing up fast.  I'm so thankful for my wonderful husband who has taken extra time and energy to work around the house and help take care of us. I'm always looking for good deals on getting the paper cheaper.  I've had issues trying to get a good deal on the Washington Post these last couple months.  I've learned to keep calling and asking.  My last bill was incorrect and I didn't get the deal they offered and instead they offered me not as good a deal so I took it just because I still wanted the delivery.   I should have canceled. 11/21/10 No Redplum just SmartSource

I just confirmed that there will NOT be a Redplum this coming weekend just a SmartSource and per the schedule next weekend because it is Thanksgiving there will be no coupons! There will be coupons because the P&G smartsource will be available. Make sure you get your subscription because usually on Thanksgiving the paper delivery drops  off all of the Black Friday ads.

Rite Aid Shopping Trip 11/13/10 – All for $11.25 and got back $8.99!

Wow!  It's been a long time since I posted a shopping trip and I thought this one was worth it to post. Check out all I got for $11.25 and I got back $8.99 to use on my next purchases.  I'm really amazed at the deals that Rite Aid has with their new +UP reward program. I did this in a couple transactions because I had a raincheck for the Nivea lotion which would have been a $5 +UP but what the cashier did was put it towards my next purchase.  What a great idea. I highly recommend getting to know the cashiers and managers at your stores because they can help you with rain-checks, checking the back for the product or even some other creative ways to help you…
