Friend’s Trip to Giant on 03/22/10 – Saved 76%

Wow!  My friend Ruth sent me her picture and transaction totals for her first coupon trip with multiple transactions!  She even  rolled over the $10 General Mills Catalina deal each time and did all of this with her 2 little girls.  I'm impressed! Since she is new to collecting her coupon inserts she didn't have all of the coupons available to  her.  She used the internet coupons and the  "Spring Savings" book.  She mentioned that some of the coupons beeped and the cashier pushed them through and it took about 15 minutes to check out.  She went early when the store was quite. Giant Shopping Trip – 3/19/10 – saved 63%

This weekend was a super busy weekend for my family.  I had those $5 and $3 catalina coupons from last week's Giant trip that was to expire on 3/20/10, so I ran in Giant at 8:00 AM with my daughter (she drove the red car cart) and was able to do the General Mills catalina deal.  MoneyWiseMoms has a great post about it HERE. I spent out of pocket $12.72 and got a $10 catalina to use on my next purchase. This is what it all means to save. I seem to get this question a lot!  I thought I would write a regular post about the way I carry my coupons.  More detailed information about my insert organization can be found  HERE. "How much time does it take you to organize coupons?" Minutes!  If I have more time and I'm in the mood, I'll spend more.    I just put them in my filing cabinet. "How do you organize your coupons? I don't know where to start?" I've been dealing with the a stomach bug these last couple of days.  It seems to be going around.  Here are my tips for getting a quick recovery. How to recover from Stomach bug/flu/food poisoning? 1.Wash your hands, often! 2. Drink plenty of fluids.  If you can't drink fluids because of nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea for several hours then you should see your doctor or go to the emergency room.  I've had to do that in the past.  It doesn't take long before you can be severely dehydrated. 3.  Immediately take control of your symptoms.  Besides drinking fluids take some necessary medicines like Pepto or Imodium or medications recommend by your doctor. 4.  Don't expose yourself to others if necessary.  You don't want to spread it. 5.  Rest as much…
