Meal Planning 5/21/2012

This is week 21 on creating a meal plan for the week. This is a busy week but slow week since the weather has been raining.  Hoping the rest of the week will be a bit nicer so we can go outside some.    I’m excited to say that I got a lot of birthday freebies like I did in 2009 that I will be using in the next couple of days before they expire.  (I wrote the post back in 2009 so some of the freebies aren’t available anymore and some new ones are.  So I plan on writing an updated version soon. )  I got a coupon for a FREE burger at Ruby Tuesdays,  and a FREE meal at Silver Diner!  Looking forward to enjoying those.

Monday: Breakfast: Cereal and fruit Lunch Leftovers Dinner Sardines Lorenzas (open-faced sandwiches normally we do Tuna this time Sardines)

Tuesday:Breakfast Eggs  Lunch Soup Dinner: CiCi’s pizza!  I love CiCi’s pizza because the 5 of us can go there and we can all eat for under $20!  We had a coupon for Buy 1 Adult Buffet and drink and get 1 Adult Buffet FREE just for signing up for their club so the meal was just over $10!  The kids are 3 and under eat FREE.  I will also mention my boys are at the age that it is difficult to take them out places now because they make a HUGE mess.  CiCi’s pizza is a great place because they don’t mind if we do and we always try and clean up most of it.  I’m used to doing that after each meal.

Wednesday: Breakfast Cereal and fruit Lunch PB&J Dinner: Homemade Bar-B-que from a family friend!  God Bless!

Thursday: Breakfast Cereal and fruit Lunch Muffins Dinner: Chicken fingers

Friday: Breakfast Cereal Lunch Fastfood treat Dinner: Fried Rice and Leftovers  – Last week I planned pizza but we decided to wait for pizza for another day and I looked in the pantry and found I had Fried Rice seasoning (no MSG)!  I had purchased frozen shrimp from Aldi for $5.99 and thought what a perfect meal.  I will tell you this was perfect.  My kids LOVED the fried rice.  I think they love salt.   I made it with whole grain brown rice, lots of green peas and carrots.  All 3 of them ate it.   This is a winner!

Saturday: Breakfast Cereal easy Lunch Leftovers and then late lunch with a family gathering Dinner: Friend gathering

Sunday: Breakfast Easy and fast eggs Lunch Fastfood Dinner: OYO
