Washington Post Subscription Deal – $.77 Sundays!

In my Sunday paper last weekend I noticed that they have a new deal for new subscribers or subscribes that haven’t subscribed in the last 30 days.   $.77 sundays – get 26 weeks of Sunday home-delivery for just $.77 a week or 7-day home-delivery for $1.81 a week!

Offer only valid in limited locations within the Post’s 7 day home delivery area for new subscribers and those who have not been a Post subscriber for the past 30 days.  You will be charged a one time payment for the initial 26 week subscription period.  At the end of the 26 week period, your subscription will continue and you will be billed or your credit card will be charged every 8 weeks at the prevailing home delivery rate unless you contact The Washington Post.  Your invoice will include the average transportation cost for home delivery subscriptions across all delivery areas of $.14 daily and $.48 Sunday.  Actual costs for some areas and offers may differ.  You will be charged applicable sales tax.  Offer expires 2/25/10 and cannot be combined with any other Washington Post reduced price home delivery sales offer.

I’m NOT an affiliate of Washington Post, I just want to share this deal.

Sunday Washington Post Cost increased to $2

washington_logo_375

This weekend I stopped at Bottom Dollar Food to get some groceries which I will write a post about later.

When I got there I planned to picking up an additional copy of the Washington Post.  However, the cost is $2!  Wow!   I was surprised.  I wasn’t sure if it was the store or the the paper.  They had a double deal sitting there so I lucked out and picked that up.  It turned out to be $3!

Here is an article about the change in price for the Sunday Washington Post.

Effective Dec. 13, the newsstand price for its Sunday paper will go from $1.50 to $2 in Washington.

I now need to check my bill and find out how much they are charging me for home delivery.   I might have to cancel and pick up the paper if the cost is more than that.

I might even start thinking of ordering inserts online.   What do you think?

What paper do you pick up?

Washington Post Subscription Deal – $.59 Sundays! Save up to 82%

washington_logo_375Looking carefully in my last week’s ad section I noticed a good deal on the Washington Post for new subscribers and who have not been a Post subscriber for the past 30 days.

    26 weeks of $.59 Sundays or $1.11 7 days.   That’s a 62% savings for Sunday only. Reply by December 31, 2009.

For current subscribers I strongly suggest calling Washington Post and asking them if there any good deals available this time of year and see what they say.  If there aren’t any then cancel your subscription and pick up a Double Deal instead.
