Shoppers Shopping Trip 4/25/09

I went to Shoppers this evening and got some great deals.   Here are some tips:

Don’t use the self-checkout

Because it won’t accept coupons that equal overage.

The computer won’t accept coupons after a couple and the cashier has to enter them.

The cashier might not double or triple them accurately, because he/she has to do it manually.

Go to a regular checkout line.

Do a small transaction.

It is a lot easier to keep track of coupons in smaller transactions.

And, you don’t have to take as long in line.

This works great when you bring kids along.

I bought the following and saved a lot!  As soon as I find the card reader I will post a picture.

I had to go to customer service to fix the coupons because of the issues I had with the self-check out.

8 Bounty Paper Towels $1.00 each = $1.00 Bounty Paper Towels, Any (1) 6- Roll + Or (2) Any Other Size – 04-05-09 PG= -$2.00 after double = FREE

1 No Yolks Noodles $2.00  = printable $0.75 coupon = -$1.50 after double = $0.50 each

1 Barilla Piccolini, $1.20 = Any Package – 03-29-09 SS $0.50= -$1.50 (no overage) = FREE

4 Capri Sun Sunrise Product, $2.00= Any – 04-19-09 SS $1.00 = – $2.00 after double =  FREE

4 Johnsonville Sausage Patties $2.69 = Any – 03-29-09 S S$1.00/1 = -$2.00 after double = 0.69 each

Bananas $1.04

4 Stonyfield Farm Oikos Organic Greek Yogurt, $2.00 = Any 5.3 Oz. Or 16 Oz. – 04-05-09 SS $1.00 = -$2.00 after double = FREE

2 Yoplait Yo-Plus Yogurt, $2.00 = Any 4-Pack – 03-29-09 SS $0.50 = -$1.50 after triple = $0.50 each

2 Scope Mouth Wash, $1.99 sale = Scope, Any 473 mL + – 04-05-09 PG $1.00 = -$2.00 after double (no overage) = FREE

The cashier put in the coupons but forgot to double them and I started to realize this right after I scanned my card.  It came out to $17.73!  Ooops!

So, I went to the customer service and figured out that my to total should have been $5.43+ tax but because she made a couple errors in refunding me the money I calculate the cost to be $5.26 including tax!

Shoppers Trip 11/23/2008

Ok, I have to admit I’ve never in my life presented so many coupons in one trip. I was THAT lady! In fact, I had a question for the cashier about the $10 off for the Turkey and she accidentally voided the transaction so a manager had to enter in my receipt by estimating it.

Here is a picture of the trip! (Minus the Turkey, veggies and frozen food for obvious reasons.)
