I plan on going back to CVS this evening to pick up a new prescription.  I have a Safeway $30 gift card coupon I just found yesterday.  I'm glad.  I'm unfortante that I have to go back on anti-biotics again.  I got a sinus infection two weeks a go and my doctor says I have another one. This afternoon I was able to run in with my daughter and buy a jar of Similac formula. Playtex Drop-Ins BOGO 1/11 -1/17

I was just reading the CVS ad for 1/11-1-17 - Thanks I heart CVS I noticed that Playtex items are BOGO particularly the Playtex drop-ins.  I also have a coupon for a $1 off Playtex drop-ins (came with the bottles).  Somewhere in my coupons I have a couple of those coupons so I could use two of them.  That might be a good deal.

Feeling Better and Catching Up

The family had a great Christmas after all! Everyone was sick for the last couple of weeks, so I haven't had a chance to check my email on a regular basis, not to mention adding to my blog. I did take advantage of a couple of deals including the 12/28/2008 CVS shopping trip of freebies and right before Christmas the Shoppers double and triple coupons. I saved almost $100 in coupons alone. Right now we have painters in the house. As a big Christmas present we are having most of the inside of our house painted. CVS Trips on 12/12/2008

All of us were sick with the cold this weekend.  Friday I hoped to get some errands done but instead spent the day on the couch with the baby.  That evening my dear husband took the three of us out to run some of the errands.  We went to one CVS to return a prescription and went to another to pick one up.  I'm going to write a post about this later but if you are a bargain shopper you MUST train your spouse not to buy things off the list.  My dear husband loves to shop. Feeling Better

This last week my daughter got a 24 hour bug and is now feeling better. I hope to catch up and read the good deals and post again soon. In the meantime, a couple lessons I learned while she was sick. 1. The forehead thermometers aren't accurate. Every time we used it we would get different results. The digital thermometers work the best. 2. Simply Saline spray for babies is a must have. It works great for their small noses. I got mine for free because RiteAid had a lot of cold medicines back in October for free after rebate. Plus, there is a coupon Simply Saline Nasal Product, Any - 11-16-08 SS exp 12/31/09. 3. Kmart Shopping Trip 12/5/2008

Ok, I give a big thanks to my wonderful husband, who went with me after work and, for my helpful in-laws for watching the baby. Grandma watches the baby at least once a month since the baby in daycare 4 days a week, I get every other Friday off. Today, she spent the day with Grandma. I told my husband that Kmart was having double coupons and he needed a couple of things at Kmart so we planned to go this evening. It worked out pretty well! A couple coupons didn't scan perfectly. The cashier didn't match them up to the correct item or didn't enter in the correct amount, however, I saved a lot! The cashier, my husband and I were impressed by our savings. Here it goes. Only $800 a year!

Thanks to Thrifty Mama for pointing this blog out! Erin has been working hard to only spend $800 to feed her family of 4. Erin's blog is famous because its on TV - Channel 13 in Texas. This blog really inspires me to work hard and save even more. In addition, it gets me to really think about the spending process. We treat ourselves to a lot of things such as fast food, eating out, games, gadgets, and household items. What can we do to limit that? Something I will talk about in another post soon.
