Baby, general, Shopping deals, Uncategorized
Reminder starting tomorrow! Virginia is one of the states that offers a Sales Tax Holiday for the first weekend in August.  That is a 5% discount! For those that don't have kids or have little tots, this holiday is a great time to buy items like underwear, socks, t-shirts, and sneakers.  It is also a good time to buy craft supplies for the younger kids like paint, paper, and markers.  Start thinking about Christmas gifts! The best part I found out is diapers, baby items and even wedding dresses ($100 or less) are included!! See list below. August Sales Tax Holiday: School Supplies and Clothing When: First weekend of August (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) each year. The 2009 holiday will take place on August 7, 8, and 9, 2009. What's…

What’s your Laundry Schedule? and What do you use to clean your clothes?

Baby, general, Recipes, Uncategorized
How do you do your laundry? Do you do it all at once? Do you take your time and a do a load once a day?  Leave me a comment with your thoughts. I've had this problem for sometime now. Since I work full-time, I rush around the house in the morning to get the baby, husband and myself out the door. I sometimes throw in a load of laundry into the washer and take a load out of the dryer and put it into a basket for later folding or hanging. Recently, I got into a routine to start a load in the morning and when I get home I put a load away and put the load in the dryer.  I feel it is a lot easier to…

My Rite Aid July Rebates! Woohoo!

Baby, Rite Aid, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
I just want to take a moment to document my July Rebates and costs for Rite Aid. After buying the diaper deal (4 packs of Megas), buying some things we needed and buying some of the freebies (Stayfree, Feverall, and Rolaids), I'll get most of it back.  I'm not going to list every item I purchased but the amounts go like this. OOP=$82.10 (used 2 $5 GC NOT include in calculations, I treated them as cash.) I'll get 2 -$25 GCs and $19.00 Rebate check. Total Cost = $13.10  + Free pack of Huggies value at $11.49 I did make a mistake on the Stayfree and had to return a couple and buy some later.  I also made a couple trips since the $5/$25 is per customer.  It all worked…

Rite Aid Shopping Trips – 7/12-7/18

Baby, Rite Aid, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
I successfully did the Rite Aid Huggies Diaper deal this week!  Now, you can do the rebates 1 or unless otherwise stated.  I've included some other options that could have worked as well, a note for the future. (Note: I had already bought a pack earlier in May that qualified for the 6 pack of Huggies diapers.  That purchase I made a $0.1 PROFIT.) I've also updated the Rite Aid Coupon Policy.  The manager at my favorite Rite Aid explained to me that you can use more than 1 Internet Coupon per transaction, in other words, 1 Internet Coupon per purchase, just like regular manufacturer coupons.  Woohoo! On the Swim Diapers they quality for The Caregivers Marketplace rebate which is $.75 a pack!  You have to make 5 purchases of…

How to Make a Baby Bib? Easy project!

Baby, Sewing, Uncategorized
How to make a baby bib? This is a super easy project that you can create in less than 15 minutes. Select some fabric and create a simple template. I created this template using freezer paper. You can then iron on the freezer paper template to the fabric with a low setting on your iron. Then you can easily cut out the fabric without pinning. Either cut out 2 templates or do as I did and fold the fabric and then cut out 2 at one time. Then sew the two pieces right sides together. Leave a little bit open so you can turn it right side out. Then attach some velcro to the ends, either by sewing or using fusible agent. I recommend Bo-Nash Fusible 007.

RiteAid Shopping Plan 6/7-6/13

Baby, Rite Aid, Uncategorized
This weekend I was super excited about the CVS pampers deal and frustrated because I had a $5/30 (expired 6/7) and do to family commitments I couldn't get to CVS to get it.  This morning I found out that the deal is off and CVS has taken it off the website.  Big disappointment.  It would have been nice to have gotten diapers for $2.99 or $3.99 a pack.  However, I came across some other opportunities. Per BabyCheapSkate: Pampers jumbos are $8.99 at Rite Aid. Print a coupon for $5 off $25 at RiteAid (.pdf). Buy three and use the manufacturer's coupon along with the $5/$25 and you'll have a stockupportunity!
