Staying Health – Probiotics

Health, Uncategorized
Eat your yogurt and take your Probiotic daily! The Thrifty Mama wrote a post last month about staying healthly during the flu and cold season. Click here for the first post about it. Click here to see her second post. She mentions taking a probiotic on a daily basis and I wanted to learn more about it. Since I've had to go on three different treatments of anti-biotics in the last three months I'm interested in finding ways to stay healthly. I'm now taking a probiotic especially while I'm taking antibiotics. Here is a great article discuss how it really does help. Probiotics May Help People Taking Antibiotics I'm taking a probiotic from Puritan's Pride. I also learned that I'm now allergic to penicillin. It turns out that the body…

CVS Shopping Trip 1/11/2009

Baby, Coupons, CVS, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
I lucked out on this deal!  They had 2 boxes of 100 count Playtex liners left.  A box is $8.99.  I was hoping to buy the 50 count which is $4.99 a box.  I didn't see anything else in the CVS ad that I needed to have and the ECB deals weren't that good.  I had to pick up a prescription and hoped that I could do the Playtex drop-in liners deal.  I found my $1 liner coupons and when I checked out it took a moment for the cashier to get the computer to process the coupon because the computer was still processing the BOGO deal.  It worked thank goodness.  My ECBs were having a problem scanning and luckily the Pharmacist was there who subtracted the ECB from my…

Shopping deals
Disclosure: This post includes affiliate links. Thanks for supporting RedBerrydeals.com.What an amazing shopping spree! On New Year's Day we went up to Potomac Mills mall to look around and get a couple of things that we needed.  We discovered that Steve & Barry's clothing shop is going out of business.  We have been there a total of 3 times since then.  The deals are amazing! The first time we went we bought a couple t-shirts and hangers. They have the nice wooden hangers that I love. They were selling them for $0.20 a hanger. Not too bad. So, I convinced my husband to go again on Saturday, January 3rd. We went and bought some pants thinking they might be a good deal but weren't sure.  The store was a mess.…

Financial Goals 2009

Financial, Uncategorized
This evening I've been updating my blog.  There is so much to talk about and so little time.  I now realized that it is 11:10PM so I need to finish up and go to bed.  The little one is in bed and I'm sure she will wake up early.  In the mist of updating my blog  I found Money Saving Mommy's blog on 2009 goals Her blog always inspires me to save even more.  I have to admit I'm not as good a saver as other bloggers have been and it really helps to see others who believe like we do. In 2008, we had our wonderful daughter and realized that we had to do better about our finances.  We knew we had to start a 529k and we need…
